Developing & Deciding a Studio Logo

We came up with the name for our studio fairly quickly: Film Geeks Studio.

It came to us with the spontaneous realisation that we are indeed ourselves film geeks and would appreciate the respresentation.

However, developing a logo was an extensive process for us since we wanted something minimal yet not soulless, something creative but not too fancy, something just right. And striking that balance took us hours of brainstorming and countless drafts.

I doodled these as I came up with the idea that instead of writing Film Geeks in its full, we could just abbreviate and combine the letters as shown below:

The circled one is what we went with. You can also see my attempt at drawing a film reel around the G in one of them in an attempt to add a more cinematic quality to it since our logo should we representative of what we are - a film studio.

And after a few discussions and redrafts, Varisha finally drew our final choice:

This above is our final logo with our decision to abbreviate Film Geeks Studios to FG Studios.
